Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Gavin Jones - Specialist Media Consultant

With over 30 years of distinguished military service, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Gavin Jones brings a wealth of real-world expertise to the film industry as a trusted advisor on military-themed projects. His deep understanding of tactics, leadership, and the human side of service ensures accurate, authentic and compelling portrayals of military life on screen.
From advising on the correct use of uniforms and equipment to coaching actors on military conduct and communication, Gavin helps bridge the gap between cinematic storytelling and operational reality. He has led teams in high-pressure environments and understands the nuances of chain of command, battlefield dynamics, and the unspoken codes that define military culture.

Gavin has supported a variety of productions, including providing on-the-ground expertise for an episode of the BBC series 20th Century Battlefields. His ability to guide directors, crew, and cast through the technical and emotional realities of military life adds a vital layer of credibility to any project.
Gavin’s operational background started with service in Northern Ireland, where he worked alongside the Royal Ulster Constabulary on counter-terrorism operations, and concluded in Afghanistan, where he worked shoulder to shoulder with national and multinational security forces. For his service with the US Army in Afghanistan, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, recognising his outstanding leadership and contribution in a combat zone.
He is no stranger to working in harsh and difficult environments including the deserts of Jordan and the Kenyan bush. These experiences give him an authentic perspective on modern conflict, inter-agency cooperation, and the complexities of operating in politically sensitive and physically challenging environments.
Gavin also served twice at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where his eye for detail, strong inter-personal skills and engaging nature made him a popular and respected senior officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Humphrey Bradley - Specialist Media Consultant

With over 30 years of distinguished service in the British Army, Lieutenant Colonel Humphrey Bradley brings an unmatched depth of experience and authenticity to the world of film and television. From front-line combat to intelligence operations, training elite forces to teaching future military leaders, Humphrey’s career spans some of the most complex and challenging environments in recent military history.
Humphrey’s operational record includes deployments to Northern Ireland during the height of The Troubles, frontline combat as a Forward Air Controller in Operation Desert Storm (1990), and a pivotal role in post-war Iraq (2003), where he helped reform and train the New Iraqi Army and established a leadership academy for Iraqi officers in Jordan.
While seconded to the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan’s Kandahar Province in 2012, Humphrey trained the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and was awarded the US Army Commendation Medal (ACM) for exceptional service and leadership under pressure.
He has also trained officers at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and is a qualified weapons and tactics instructor with specialist expertise in close and long-range reconnaissance.
A passionate student of military history, Humphrey now channels his knowledge and real-world insight into helping filmmakers bring authenticity, accuracy, and depth to military and security-themed projects.


In addition to his operational service, Humphrey's global experience also includes instructing the Mozambique Army in Zimbabwe, jungle warfare training in Belize & Brunei and long-range reconnaissance in diverse environments including the Gulf States.
He continues to serve in the British Army Reserves.
Matt Gosling-Specialist Media Consultant

Matt is a military technical advisor for film and television, dedicated to transforming scripts into authentic, credible stories. With 24 years of service in the British Army as an infantry soldier he attained the rank of Warrant Officer Class One, Command Sergeant Major.
He saw deployments to Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, which brings first hand combat
experience, tactical expertise, and military culture to every project. Matt works collaboratively with writers,
directors, and actors to ensure that from dialogue and drill to weaponry and wardrobe, the portrayal of military life resonates with accuracy and respect.

A bridge between the world of military operations and the world of storytelling, Matt ensures that film and television depictions of military operations, culture, and characters are executed with
uncompromising authenticity.
His background includes a variety of roles including instructing on unit tactics, close quarters battle (CQB), battlefield casualty drills, all aspects of ceremonial drill, public order tactics, heavy weapons, Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) and reconnaissance. Having also conducted two tours as an
instructor at prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst his
diligence, attention to detail and instructional capabilities
translate seamlessly to the film set, where he shapes realistic leadership and military protocol for actors and crews alike.

Matt focuses on the details that insiders notice: the subtle hand signals of a tactical team, the worn-in look of field gear, the specific jargon of a operations room, and the unspoken bonds between service members.
His advisory role extends beyond choreographing

Steff Dowle- Specialist Media Consultant

Steff is a highly accomplished senior leader with a distinguished career spanning 24 years of service in the British Army, followed by over 20 years in education, culminating in headship within the specialist independent sector.
During his military career, Steff served as an Infantry Warrant Officer Class 1 and Regimental Sergeant Major, developing deep expertise in leadership, operational planning, personnel development, and discipline at the highest level. His professional experience includes urban and jungle warfare tactics, weapons training, leadership under pressure, and ceremonial drill, all delivered with precision, professionalism, and a strong emphasis on safety and wellbeing.

Operationally, Steff has deployed extensively across Northern Ireland, the Middle East, Africa, and the Balkans, and has worked alongside international partner forces including the Swedish Armed Forces, the French Foreign Legion, and United States military units. These roles demanded advanced skills in security assessment, risk management, threat mitigation, and cross-cultural leadership, all of which Steff brings into his current professional practice.
Transitioning into education, Steff successfully translated his military leadership skills into the civilian sector, becoming a Headteacher specialising in children and young people with additional needs. He has extensive experience in safeguarding, pastoral care, wellbeing, behaviour management, and team leadership, and is widely respected for creating safe, structured, and supportive environments where individuals can thrive. His safeguarding knowledge is both strategic and practical, underpinned by decades of responsibility for vulnerable individuals in high-risk contexts.
Alongside his professional career, Steff is a committed outdoor adventurer, with personal and leadership experience in climbing, kayaking, cycling, motorbike riding, running, and skiing. He has led expeditions across the Himalayas, the jungles of Nicaragua and Borneo, and throughout Southern India, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and calm leadership in demanding environments.
